Job Description Good understanding of central counterparties (CCP) risk practices and standards and able to formulate functional unit's risk profiles in accordance with the financial risk management framework and tools.
Institute a risk management culture to support the implementation and effective operation of enterprise risk management function in line with the organizational objectives.
Strategize, lead and develop risk management models and policies for CCPs which are aligned to the overall strategic direction of the company: Review and update CCP risk management models and policies which are adequate and relevant in accordance with international best practice standards yet innovated to meet local conditions; Subject to authority limit, make decision on matters concerning risk management / risk monitoring with respect to the services and facilities of the CCPs; Manage special projects as assigned by the Management and ensure successful implementation of these projects.
Lead the team of CCP Risk Managers & Executives to ensure that the risk in the CCPs are effectively managed and take decisive actions to mitigate those risks Lead, manage & oversee day-to-day risk management operations of the CCPs; Plan for adequate resources/budget for the CCP Risk team and ensure optimum utilization of resources/budget to achieve goals and targets.
Motivate, coach, develop, nurture and mentor staff in leadership skills and technical competencies to meet set goals and targets: Set appropriate targets for the CCP risk managers & executives and proactively manage actual performance against targets; Build and maintain strong rapport with all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements Master's degree or bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Financier related discipline.
Overall risk & compliance experience of 8 – 10 years in the financial services industry handling enterprise risk management with at least 5 years managerial experience.
In-depth knowledge of risk management practices Experience in quantitative analysis techniques In-depth understanding of the Malaysian capital markets In-depth knowledge of the SPAN Margining System or other margining methodologies Strong leadership skills, decision making, communication skills with stakeholders, analytical skills, excellent writing and presentation skills For more information, you may reach out to Jamie at her email at ******.
