Job Description Oversee all packing activities with a focus on manufacturing performance, workforce deployment, and the training and development of the packing team, while maintaining housekeeping standards.
Lead, motivate, and organize packing personnel to achieve daily packing targets, ensuring compliance with customer quality and delivery requirements.
Monitor the quality of packed finished goods to meet standards and regulatory requirements, tracking daily output to ensure target and KPI achievement.
Prepare reports and analyses on packing activities and outcomes for senior management.
Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed to improve efficiency and compliance.
Ensure smooth operation of all packing conveyor lines, resolving disruptions to maintain workflow and optimize resource use, enhancing efficiency and minimizing waste in the packing process.
Assist supervisors and team leaders in coordinating packers and workers to enhance team performance.
Identify and resolve operational challenges, implementing solutions to improve packing efficiency.
Monitor estimated time of arrival (ETA) for packaging materials to minimize WIP (Work-In-Progress) inventory levels.
Coordinate with planning and procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials, avoiding delays.
Implement strategies to optimize material use and reduce waste.
Provide training and guidance on SOPs to packing employees, ensuring understanding and strict adherence.
Conduct weekly and monthly team meetings to review progress, address issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Coordinate with departments like Planning, Quality Assurance, and Shipping to resolve cross-functional issues and ensure seamless operational integration.
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of packing equipment, especially weighing balances.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with packing processes, equipment, and machinery.
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze production data, and implement data-driven improvement strategies.
