Senior Manager (Technical Material Management)Develop and execute strategies to improve overall Technical Material and Warehouse Management performance, including inventory optimization, critical parts preservation, demand forecasting, and supplier collaboration.
Enhance and coach Technical Material and Warehouse Management team of their knowledge and competency to support company's reliability and performance improvement to stay competitive in the challenging environment.
Manage day-to-day Technical Material Management (TMM) section operations, ensuring resources planning to meet work requirements that are executed safely, timely, and at cost optimum.
Oversee ongoing project execution pertaining to the TMM initiatives ensuring project schedule and cost are as per plan.
Review on a regular basis the planned and unplanned activities that are performed safely, timely, and cost-effectively to ensure TMM section has a smooth operation.
Ensure TMM section, its facility, and operations are conforming to any legal requirements.
Develop and implement efficient processes for inventory management, including inventory control, cycle counting, and stock replenishment.
Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of technical materials to avoid unnecessary plant downtime.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to TMM operations, such as order fulfillment rate, on-time delivery, inventory, and technical data accuracy.
Develop and ensure TMM section staff are trained to be kept abreast thus ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize technical material warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
Provide progress and performance reports to the management on the progress of the spare parts coordination activities on a regular basis, and to keep the management informed of any issues/matters which are deemed to be critical.
Job Requirements
Field of Study: Engineering / Warehouse management / Supply Chain & logistics
Master Degree: >10 years (relevant experience in production plant is advantageous)
Bachelor Degree: >12 years (relevant experience in production plant is advantageous)
Strong leadership abilities to manage a team of TMM section staff effectively. This includes assigning tasks, setting goals, providing guidance, and resolving conflicts.
Align team member's individual strength into department's target. Ensure that staff performance appraisals are carried out in accordance with the stipulated guidelines.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Understanding of technical materials and equipment commonly used in the industry. This includes knowledge of different types of materials, their storage requirements, and handling procedures.
Additional certifications like Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.
Has interest in reliability relevant certification.
