Senior Manager, Wholesale Banking Recovery, Group Loan RehabilitationTo manage an assigned portfolio of underperforming accounts and/or impaired accounts including:
Formulating recovery strategies including but not limited to workout plans (if any) and/or litigation/liquidation as appropriate, for the most expedient and cost-effective means to maximize recovery to the Bank;
Reviewing and assessing Customer's proposal (if any);
Securing the necessary approvals to implement the agreed recovery strategies;
Executing the approved recovery strategies within the shortest possible time;
Following up on progress of scheme implementation and monitoring terms and conditions governing the rescheduled/rescheduled terms so as to optimize recovery for the Bank;
Ensuring adherence to all regulatory, internal and external compliances;
Delivering the yearly financial targets and gross impaired loans/financing reduction targets set by management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer (Internal and/or external)
Delivering yearly financial targets and gross impaired loans/financing reduction targets set by management.
Maintaining close working relationship with paying Customers.
Attending all meetings and participating in discussions on recovery of the loans/financing.
Liaising with internal & external parties, service providers and regulators (Auditors, Solicitors, Receivers & Managers, Liquidators, Auctioneers, Valuers, Recovery Consultants, Bank Negara, etc).
Process
Ensuring internal and external compliance to all policies and regulations.
Updating relevant data for monthly reports to management.
Tracking KPI of assigned portfolio on a monthly basis.
Tracking prices of shares/instruments held by the Bank, monitoring terms and conditions of instruments to protect the best interest of the Bank.
Conducting periodic DCF analysis and recommending appropriate provisioning for the assigned portfolio, reviewing DCF analysis as an independent party for recommendation of appropriate provisioning (where relevant).
Conducting periodic/annual review on accounts (where applicable).
Attending to ad-hoc assignments and tasks assigned by HoD/Team Leader.
Learning & Growth
Enhancing technical competency via on-the-job training as well as other structured learning initiatives to improve knowledge (e.g. external courses, own research).
Keeping abreast with best practices, regulatory requirements and industry developments in finance, restructuring and recovery.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Degree or Professional Qualifications in Finance, Business, Commerce or similar fields.
Certified Credit Professional (CCP)/Certified Credit Executive (CCE)/Professional Credit Certification (PCC)/Chartered Banker.
Other accreditation recognized by the Finance industry.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years credit experience/15 years restructuring & recovery experience.
Proficient in both conventional and Shariah business & Risk Management matters.
Well-versed in recovery modes and tools.
Restructuring specialist.
Proficient in relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices & policies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
