Master concept and architecture engineering, providing mechanical engineering and knowhow.
Assessments and recommendations e.g., on material and process choices based on mechanical design principles, supporting design for perfection, longevity and magical elements.
Along with Master Architecture, Create mechanical constructions and make proof of concept by design review, rapid prototyping & simulations.
Work out with suppliers for exploration and product development, transforming proven concept and architecture into product requirements.
Work closely with Quality organization and vendors to ensure product and process validation.
Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is often required.
With proven track record in mechanical design, specifically within the audio or consumer electronics industry.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with audio product design, including speakers, headphones, or other audio devices.
Technical Skills: CAD Software Proficiency, expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and modelling components.
Prototyping and Testing: Experience with prototyping techniques and knowledge of testing standards for audio equipment.
Material Selection: Understanding of materials used in audio products for optimal acoustic performance and durability.
Thermal Management: Knowledge of thermal dynamics, as audio devices often require effective heat dissipation designs.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to address design challenges and improve product performance.
Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, acoustics experts, and manufacturing personnel.
Project Management: Skills to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
Other Qualifications: Familiarity with Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of injection molding, metal stamping, fit and finishing, CMF, tolerance analysis, stack up FMEA, and assembly techniques relevant to audio products.
Knowledge of Industry Standards: Awareness of regulatory standards for audio equipment, including safety and environmental guidelines.
Staying updated with the latest trends in audio technology and mechanical design tools is also crucial for an expert role in this field.
Able to travel for tooling trial and/or engineering event at oversea.
