Senior Operative Purchaser (1 year contract)Job Description:Responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing of materials for the production and system acceptance operations locally and Malaysia plants.
Assist the manager in driving change management and new business process implementation.
Provide mentorship and guidance to new Operative Purchasers.
Create and change Purchase Order, Schedule Agreement or Quantity Contract.
Maintain Material Master for purchasing data and review and analyze MRP results.
Act as central contact person for assigned suppliers related to the purchasing topics: order quantity, order acknowledgement, confirmation of delivery, pull in/push out deliveries, non-conformance recovery etc.
Co-ordinate with Engineering Changes Specialist and send ECN, BOM and drawing to suppliers.
Assist the Commodity Manager in communicating the forecast (rolling future demand) to the supplier and work with the Commodity Manager to determine the supplier safety stock level.
Participate and cooperate with Procurement Engineers & Commodity Manager on special projects.
Handle the assessment of suppliers with reference to the logistics criteria (suppliers reliability) for On Time Delivery (OTD).
Responsible for expediting part shortages to ensure material availability.
Ensure the Production Planners are kept informed of issues in a timely manner where changes to the build plan may be required.
Assist Material Planning team for inventory provision (E&O) and end of life (EOL) related method.
Requirements:
Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Business Studies / Administration, Logistics or any equivalent discipline.
At least 6 to 8 years of working experience in purchasing function in a Manufacturing environment.
Supply Chain Management skill.
Preferably with ERP knowledge.
Able to adapt to the change in ramp up / ramp down volume.
Able to work and communicate with global colleagues and suppliers.#J-18808-Ljbffr
