About the RoleWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator with a specialization in Exadata to join our expanding team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for expanding our squad's capabilities to support the growth of our time-sensitive core financial services.
Working hand-in-hand with the squad, you'll provide critical guidance and oversight as we design, develop, test, and maintain the high-quality databases, tools, and projects that are essential to delivering our vital financial services.
ResponsibilitiesThe following are daily responsibilities for the role:
Exadata Administration:Manage and maintain Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.Database Management:Administer Oracle RAC databases in a high-availability & time-critical environment.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for ExaCC databases.
Conduct regular database health checks and implement proactive measures.Patch Management:Plan and implement Oracle Database and ExaCC patching and upgrades.Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce security policies and access controls for ExaCC databases.
Ensure databases align with industry standards and regulations.Automation and Scripting:Identify opportunities for toil elimination and maintain a continuous improvement mentality.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks and monitoring.Collaboration:Work closely with multi-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation for all aspects of ExaCC database administration.What will make you successful?We are seeking professionals with:
Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle DBA: 19c & 23ai versions
Proficient in Oracle Cloud Control and Oracle Unified Directory
Proficient in Oracle RAC (real application cluster) and ExaCC
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Replication of database using DataGuard
Good experience with Ansible and Terraform
Problem-solving attitude towards technical issues
