Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any Engineering background.
Experience:
At least solid 5-7 years of experience in the chemical or petrochemical manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience with chemical plant operations, process engineering, and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:Project Management:Proven track record in managing large scale capital projects (e.g., plant expansions, upgrades, or new process installations).
Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and cost control for engineering projects.
Process Engineering:In-depth knowledge of chemical process optimization, troubleshooting, and process flow improvements.
Strong ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems related to manufacturing processes.
Equipment and Facility Design:Experience with designing and commissioning chemical manufacturing plants or major plant equipment.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design tools for equipment layout and systems designs.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams of engineers, contractors, and vendors.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with departments like procurement, quality control, and production.
Regulatory Compliance:Experience ensuring that all engineering activities meet environmental and safety regulations.
Familiarity with hazard and operability study (HAZOP) and other risk management techniques in chemical plants.
Stakeholder Communication:Strong communication and reporting skills to liaise with stakeholders, including senior management, contractors, and plant operators.
Ability to present technical details and project progress in clear and concise reports.
Continuous Improvement:Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Construction and Commissioning:Experience in overseeing construction, installation, and commissioning of chemical plant projects.
Knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts and project delivery.
