Responsibilities:Liaise with Airworthiness Authorities (CAAM, CAAS, FAA, EASA etc.)
to coordinate any matters related to authorities' approvals and audits.
Implement and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with the aviation authorities' requirements.
Ensure internal documentation, including MOE, RSQCM, procedures are maintained up to date and in compliance with authorities, OEM and organization's requirements.
Manage the archiving of records according to the organization retention policies.
Coordinate internal audit program, conduct audits, ensure timely closure of corrective/preventive actions, and verify the effectiveness of the actions implemented.
Highlight any quality concerns to management.
Supplier management: Oversee and manage the approval and performance monitoring process (including audit) with the supply chain team for suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Assist Quality Manager in maintaining company authorization for technician and Certifying Staff, including assessment and evaluation of candidates.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Safety Management System in compliance with authorities' requirements.
Conduct and facilitate hazard identification and risk management with the Safety Action Group.
Lead and coordinate quality/safety investigation on quality escapes/internal nonconformance.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional subject-matter-expert root cause analysis/problem solving and development of corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Review and validate First Article Inspection to ensure the organization has the capability to perform the repair in accordance with the approved maintenance data.
Conduct training and briefings on regulatory requirements and quality matters.
Coordinate Environment, Health, and Safety related matters in accordance with local authority and corporate requirements.
Monitor, analyze, and report EHS metrics to ensure continuous improvement through regular performance reviews.
Qualifications:Must have a degree in Engineering/Technical related field or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in quality/engineering role in the aviation industry.
Knowledge and understanding of aviation authority (e.g.
CAAM, FAA, EASA, CAAS) Part 145 regulations and ISO 9001/AS 9110 Quality Management System.
Experience as an internal quality auditor or attended Lead Assessor training is an added advantage.
Proficiency in quality methodology/tools including 8D problem solving, PFMEA, and 7QC tools.
Understanding and implementation of all safe work practices and rules.
Experience and understanding of legal EHS requirements is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders.
Preference for excellent English communication skills – both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal and influence skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (or equivalent).
