About the Role
This role will be part of the R&D team and involves designing, developing, and releasing application services that support customer business processes.
This developer needs strong problem-solving skills to create high-performing, flexible software.
As part of an Agile team, you'll collaborate with programmers, QAs, and Product Owners (local and remote) and occasionally work with colleagues in the UK and US.
Primary responsibilities include writing quality code in Java and Kotlin, with opportunities to work with Golang and other technologies.

Day to Day
Develop and optimize Java applications interacting with HBase and Apache Phoenix for complex SQL procedures.
Collaborate with the Kafka team for seamless integration of the data analytics platform.
Design and implement SQL procedures to meet analytics and reporting needs.
Contribute to performance tuning and maintain world-class efficiency for large-scale data processes.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high code quality and maintainability.
Monitor system performance using Cloud Native tools and troubleshoot HBase and Phoenix-related issues.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in software development, primarily as a backend/server developer using Java.
Skilled in designing and maintaining complex application frameworks integrating multiple systems.
Strong background in Linux-based development environments.
Familiar with Cloud-hosted CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins.
Desirable expertise in Hadoop/HBase, Java 8 functional programming, Spring Framework, Kafka Streams, OpenAPI, and Golang.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and related deployment architectures.
Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly, with strong teamwork, independence, and communication skills.
