Senior Specialist, Financial Control & Reporting

Job Description Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Specialist, Financial Control & Reporting to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing monthly closing activities, preparing financial reporting packages, and managing year-end audits. You will also maintain fixed and intangible asset registers, adhere to internal controls, and support continuous improvements in work processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualifications (MICPA, ACCA, CPA), 3-4 years of relevant experience, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fluency in English are essential.
Job Description: Perform monthly closing activities, including the preparation of financial reporting packages. Preparation of monthly and quarterly unaudited financial statements for statutory submissions. Preparation of year end audited financial statement and managing external auditors to complete the year end audit in timely manner. Post manual journals for payroll, lease, accruals, etc., and assist in the preparation of financial statements. Maintain Fixed assets and intangible asset registers. Adhere to internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements to maintain financial security. Proactively participate in and support continuous improvements in work processes. Perform assessments of accounting standards and monitor IFRS/MFRS requirements for disclosures. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or MICPA, ACCA, CPA, or its equivalent. 3-4 years of working experience in an accounting-related field. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or banking sector is preferred but not mandatory. Strong people management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures. Positive and result-driven attitude with strong logic and analytical thinking skills. Team player with excellent organization skills and attention to accuracy and detail. Solid accounting knowledge and familiarity with local tax/audit regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fluency in English, both written and oral. Flexible and adaptable personality, willing to thrive in a dynamic environment.
