SERVICE ADVISOR BODY AND PAINT AUTOMOTIVE_PROTONThe Body and Paint Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by acting as a liaison between customers and the repair team. They ensure that all bodywork and paint repairs are completed to high standards while maintaining clear communication with customers about their vehicles' status, estimated costs, and repair timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and assess their repair needs related to bodywork and paint services.
Provide detailed estimates for repair work, including labor, parts, and paint materials.
Communicate repair timelines and update customers regularly on the status of their vehicle.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Work Coordination:
Coordinate with body shop technicians and paint specialists to ensure accurate and timely completion of repairs.
Review vehicle damage and determine repair requirements.
Schedule repair appointments and ensure efficient workflow between technicians and service advisors.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare work orders, obtain customer signatures, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all repairs.
Verify and maintain proper documentation of all repairs for future reference.
Process payments, handle insurance claims, and provide clear communication between customers and insurance providers.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on completed repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in pristine condition, with all repairs completed to manufacturer standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
Stay updated with industry trends, repair techniques, and automotive body and paint products.
Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations regarding body and paint work.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Service Advisor, particularly in body and paint repair.
Strong knowledge of vehicle bodywork, paint processes, and repair techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to explain technical repairs in simple terms.
Familiarity with insurance processes and claims handling is an advantage.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Certification or training in automotive service advising or repair (preferred).
Experience:
2+ years of experience in automotive body and paint service or a related role.
