Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamicService Managerto lead and manage our service operations at Perodua Kulim.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality vehicle repair and maintenance services, optimizing workshop operations, and fostering strong customer relationships.
This role also involves mentoring and motivating the service team, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Operations ManagementOversee daily operations of the service department to ensure high efficiency and productivity.
Monitor performance of service advisors and technicians to maintain service quality.
Plan and organize order processing, aligning tasks with mechanics' qualifications and ensuring timely completion.
Perform technical final checks on completed repair work.
Optimize workshop capacity utilization and workplace efficiency.
Ensure availability of suitable workshop equipment, test instruments, and tools.
Conduct regular internal quality checks and ensure compliance with Perodua and BMW guidelines.
Coordinate repair and maintenance jobs with third parties and ensure deadlines are met.
Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead, mentor, and motivate the service team to align with company goals.
Plan and conduct training programs for mechanics, apprentices, and service staff (including SIP internal and Perodua service training).
Organize regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance metrics.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Customer Relationship ManagementAddress customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to enhance loyalty.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve service standards.
Ensure operational and traffic safety of customers' vehicles during repairs.
Parts and Inventory ManagementManage and track the sales of automotive parts and accessories.
Maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment.
Ensure organization and provision of parts for mechanics.
Compliance and ReportingEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.
Monitor and organize proper handling and storage of hazardous materials and waste.
Prepare and present service performance reports to management.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop and service areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or related fields (Preferred).
Experience:Minimum 3 years in automotive service or workshop management (Preferred).
Experience handling continental cars or familiarity with Perodua products is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage service operations and achieve performance targets.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of car parts, accessories, and inventory management.
High quality awareness and customer-oriented mindset.
Proficient in PC/IT systems.
Other Requirements:Male candidates only (due to the nature of the job).
Valid driving license in an appropriate class.
Knowledge of a foreign language is an advantage.
Willingness to travel (50%).
Self-assured, with a positive attitude and ability to motivate a team.
