Job Responsibilities :
- To enforce Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 1994 at all work site.
- Conduct safety induction and safety briefing to site personnel (Toolbox Meeting).
- Responsible to ensure site safety compliance through site audit and issue NCR reports for compliance.
- Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg.
Bomba, CIDB, Jabatan Kesihatan and etc.)
to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirement.
- Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the management
- Advise management of changes in safety legislation and all matters pertaining to occupational safety, health and environmental.
- Determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend mean of preventing recurrence.
- Keep up-to-date with recommended codes of practice and new safety literature and circulate information applicable to each level of employee.
- To ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, I.e, periodic checking of fire facilities, verifying first aid kits and ensuring vehicle and equipment are maintained following the appropriate schedule.
- Carry out necessary HIRARC, Risk Assessment of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety procedures required for construction site and ensure all workers adhere to safe work practices.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Project Manager / Project Director from time to time.
Job Requirements :
- Candidate must possess a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) yellow book registered with DOSH/JKKP (Valid).
- Competent First Aider and Fire Warden will be added advantage.
- Knowledge in working at heights and confined space.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Possess own transport.
Willing to travel to any project site at any time.
- Commitment to stay on site
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good attitude, positive minded, self-starter, independent and good team worker.
