We are seeking aSMT Senior Engineerto lead and optimize Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes to meet production requirements and enhance product quality. This role involves developing new processes, troubleshooting production line issues, improving process efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production flow. Ideal candidates will possess strong SMT process expertise, a solid engineering background, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement new SMT processes to meet production requirements.
Optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Conduct process capability studies and SPC (Statistical Process Control) analysis.
Lead process improvement initiatives, including yield and quality enhancements.
Maintain and troubleshoot technical issues on the production line, particularly screen printing, solder paste, reflow, and component attachment machines.
Prepare and manage documentation such as Work Instructions (WI), Control Plans, and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
Perform process simulations and risk assessments.
Improve process cycle times for bottleneck product lines.
Conduct process audits and implement corrective actions to ensure high-quality output.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for SMT-related defects.
Address SMT line issues, including internal/external quality feedback and material disposition.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams for smooth production flow.
Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates and output quality.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of working experience in SMT processes or a related field.
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
Expertise in SMT processes, including screen printing, solder paste, reflow, and component attachment machines.
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) and FMEA.
Certifications:
Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
