AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The AMD Server Platform Design Team is seeking an experienced engineer for PCB-based logic design centered on current and future PC architectures; specifically, hardware for debug, validation and testing of AMD microprocessors and chipsets.
You will also be responsible for debug, productization, and support of our designs.
Additionally, you will be a key contributor for supporting customer system designs.
The Server Design Team fosters and encourages technical innovation as well as facilitates continuous career development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support product engineering in resolving customer problems which require system-level expertise Provide debug, applications support, and design assistance to customers, field applications, and sales Develop comprehensive specifications for board-level and system-level products, based on a clear understanding of the function to be demonstrated Design board-level products using industry-standard CAD tools Debug prototypes in order to achieve production-worthy products Oversee the manufacturing process at outside vendors Write and review detailed technical documentation Provide technical expertise for less experienced engineers IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: A technology related Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience Experience in a customer environment, knowledge of specific customer applications and demonstrated technical expertise in the area of system-level design Excellent debugging skills at the SoC and system level Extensive experience with engineering lab equipment, oscilloscopes, signal generators, DC power supplies, etc.
