We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Engineer to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and develop test scripts for our HDD Validation Team. Given the seasonal nature of test scripting demands, you will also focus on automating and optimizing our testing processes and workflows. This typically includes, but is not limited to, web development or Python scripting.
Here's how you can help:
Develop and debug HDD test scripts (e.g., Java, Ruby).
Collaborate with test engineers to enable new testing methodologies.
Troubleshoot and debug issues within test environments, providing timely resolutions.
Develop features for our internally self-hosted web portal (MERN-stack).
Help maintain high service availability for our servers and equipment.
Design and implement automation solutions to optimize the team's workflow.
Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Fresh graduatesorindividuals with 2 years of experience in software development.
Passionate to pursue a career in software development and engineering.
Eager to learn and pick up a wide variety of software-centric responsibilities.
Willing to work on-site at our office in Petaling Jaya.
Preferred:
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and bash scripting.
Experience in Python programming.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Capable of multi-tasking, working across different software languages.
Skills:
Knowledgeable in OOP programming (e.g., Java/C++).
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Strong critical thinking abilities.
