Because we want to be even better equipped to develop digital solutions and experiences that help more people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.About the RoleTo assist the Application Manager in implementation and execution of all initiatives according to the IT division strategy, manages the solution area under him/her and the roadmap for the technology platform or the end solutions supported and acts as the SME for key technology areas. To implement solution according to design philosophies emphasizing on system attributes such as flexibility and modularity.Responsibilities:DesignAccountable and responsible for a set of solution portfolio to ensure the design and architecture of solutions are scalable and performance optimized.Ensure business and functional requirements are translated to system solutions.Lead the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages.Act as the IT/technical lead in medium to major projects/initiatives that drives the business growth.DevelopmentDevelop software codes based on best practices and guidelines.Perform unit & SIT testing before deploying system for UAT test.Support and solve UAT issues.Execute 2nd level production and incident support through close interaction with 1st level support.IT Application ManagementExecute the mid and short term strategic plan in alignment to the changing business environment.Ensure risk assessment process is supported by complete technical assessment.Ensure deployment adheres to a defined change and release management.Ensure support system availability through controls and monitors of system health.Manage and ensure initiatives/projects are delivered within time, budget and scope.Ensure all SDLC documents are in place for all initiatives/projects.Ensure 2nd level incident resolution within defined service level.Requirements:Degree in IT from an accredited institution.1-5 years of experience in IT application development environment, with 3-5 years in supervisory experience on the supported IT domain (Application solutioning on design and development – digital IT systems).Sound experience in execution of IT projects with high level of expertise in system application and technology implementation delivery.Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team, internal & external stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Domain proficiency in insurance business and its operations including distribution channels modus operandi is essential.Able to work independently and highly self-motivated.Able to work with peers and other stakeholders, a team player.Technical skills required:Core Competency RequirementsStrong knowledge in developing VB, DotNet application (vb.net) or Java.Strong knowledge in developing stored procedures.Strong knowledge of relational database (SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle) and T-SQL.Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (Rest API).Familiarity with Customer Communication Management tool or involvement in any project related to SMS, Email and Printing Solution.Preferred Competency RequirementsBasic knowledge with Unix, Websphere Application Server.Basic knowledge with Java, Java Servlet, Unix Shell Script, Windows Batch Script, SFTP.Basic knowledge of DevOps.Experience working in Azure Cloud environment.Knowledge with Power Builder development would be an added value.Build a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
