Has experience in the semiconductor wafer fab equipment (WFE) industry.
The Master Planner Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) aligns demand from Sales for one specific account to known UCT and Suppliers capacity for generating an executable Ops plan across all assembly sites (configuration loaded in MRP with at least 2 Quarter horizon).
He/She identifies risks associated with the execution of the proposed Ops plan and articulates options and recommendations to UCT's Sr. Director S&OP and Sales Account Manager.
As orders from customers are entered in CRM, he/she takes down the corresponding BOMS's in MRP to avoid overdriving inventory.
Also leading a team of materials planners and buyers to support the demand from forecast/PO loaded into MRP system, PO placement to suppliers, expediting to support site revenue and inventory plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading a team of materials planners and buyers, about 10 people to support production volume as well as transfer products/NPI into UCTM.
Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
Makes outsourcing decisions by performing make / buy analysis.
Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure for both production volume and new transfer/NPI projects.
Forms Materials Core Team and coordinates product development process deliverables through matrix management of buyers and planners.
Creates, releases, and updates new project materials strategy.
Assists in supplier price and delivery negotiations.
Utilizes the preferred supplier selection and assessment process when selecting suppliers.
Completes supplier risk assessment on critical and unique parts suppliers.
Monitors supplier performance (delivery, quality, and cost).
Executes commercialization (transition) materials plan.
Manages materials change control process and may drive changes to project management process.
Works with engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements.
Develops supplier and commodity road maps to engineering.
Resolves quality issues and meets cost objectives.
Generates, publishes and drives materials Key Process Indicators (KPI) such as MRP success rate, Load vs Commit, PO past due, PO unconfirm, Suppliers OTD, inventory turns, etc.
Develops and executes programs in order to meet cost objectives and establishes and tracks cost targets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Able to manage low volume high mix products.
Manages materials change control process and may drive changes to project management process.
Works with engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements.
Develops supplier and commodity road maps to engineering.
Resolves quality issues and meets cost objectives.
Generates and publishes Key Process Indicators (KPI).
Develops and executes programs in order to meet cost objectives and establishes and tracks cost targets.
Utilizes value analysis on build-to-print components in support of Should Analysis.
High level of energy and polished leadership skill set.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
B.S.
level degree or equivalent in business, purchasing, materials, distribution, supply chain management, or related discipline; Masters level degree preferred.
Experience Requirement:
10+ years of materials project management experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent, to include experience in supply chain planning or outsourcing, with previous experience in project management.
Experience in gas delivery components/sheet metal parts preferred.
Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
