THE ROLE:
AMD's Human Resources team is seeking anEmployee Relations Specialist- an insightful, adaptable, and technically proficient individual.
This crucial role involves direct interactions with employees, managers, and country leaders, conducting moderate to complex investigations, managing performance-related cases, and providing strategic direction on ER matters to leaders.
This role is responsible for significantly enhancing our HR systems and workflows, aligning with legal, industry, and best practices to support our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage complex employee relations investigations, ensuring confidentiality and fairness while handling allegations of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct across regions such as Southeast Asia, Australia, and Japan.
Effectively address employee relations issues and concerns, minimizing corporate risk and enhancing employee experience.
Exhibit strong professional judgment and collaborate across functions, communicating effectively with HR, Legal, and business partners.
Articulate local laws and provide guidance to leadership on labor compliance and regulations.
Partner with the Corporate Investigations team for local employee investigations.
Review and enhance policies periodically, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Lead the delivery of new ER practices and support labor compliance activities.
Develop metrics to track ER program progress and create comprehensive review decks for the leadership team.
Participate in the development and delivery of management training programs to advance employee relations skills among people managers.
Assist with ad-hoc employee relations and HR department projects.
Make suggestions to leaders on employee engagement and process improvements based on trends and risks.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong ER experience with a focus on Southeast Asia Employee Relations matters and investigation experience.
Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced matrix environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a growth mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams globally.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Employment Law is preferred.
Certification in Employment Acts or Industrial Relations is an advantage.
