This position will play a key role in planning, designing, and supervises the construction of new, or existing, facilities in support of Company goals by utilizing available resources in the most efficient and effective manner.
Opportunity to lead a critical system supporting entire factory that has the potential for tremendous knowledge growth.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.Prepare and update AutoCAD layout drawing for re-layout office, building, engineering equipment and facilities system.Responsible and manage facilities cost centre to ensure the spending is within the budget.Be familiar with FDA/ISO standards and how they should be applied to all facility items such as cleanrooms, air/nitrogen supply, product contact water etc.Liaise with vendor to ensure design meets requirements.Develops criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.Coordinates with architecture / consultant / contractor in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.Assists in development and maintenance of short-term and long-term facilities space plan.May be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and planning preventative maintenance.Plans and coordinates periodic shutdown to service and maintain facility equipment and buildings services.Required Qualifications:Diploma or higher in Civil and Structure Engineering, Architecture or other related qualification.5 - 10 years of industry experience in building & CSA system ownership.Broad engineering skills and experience in CSA related.Understanding and experience of GMP & EHS requirements and external/internal audits.Strong business and customer focus.Good engineering problem solving skills, workload resource planning and prioritization skills.Continuous challenge and improvement current operations.Organized and good team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure.Knowledge on Lean Sigma tools (5S /Pareto /5 why /DMAIC / RCA /Fish bone analysis) will be added advantage.Knowledge on ISO stds for medical devices and environmental acts.
