BE GREAT TOGETHER WITH US.Innovation, Efficiency and Ambition: this is what VAT has stood for over 50 years.With this passion, VAT has grown to become the leading international developer, manufacturer and supplier of high-performance high-end vacuum valves and vacuum sealing technology, employing over 2000 people worldwide.The headquarters are located in Haag (Switzerland), the production centers in Switzerland, Malaysia, Romania and Taiwan.The Facility Senior Engineer is responsible for smooth operation of both plants (1A & 1B) facilities system with minimum unplanned down time.He/She will coordinate with stakeholders, support production needs, and manage operating expenses within budget.Additionally, he/she will develop direct reports through hands-on training and conduct internal/external audits and risk assessments.Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: Ensure all facilities system/equipment are in healthy/optimum running condition to minimize interruption to production operations.Evaluate facility systems and aim to achieve departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Assess and pursue continuous improvement of facility systems and equipment.Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance of facility equipment.Ensure adherence to SOP, WI, and regulatory compliance for all PM, daily checklists, and monitoring activities.Technical support on Plant Facilities Upgrading/Retrofit/hook up project.Define & establish Scope of Work (SOW) related to Facilities System or Works.Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that all upgrading/retrofit projects adhere to VAT safety requirements, guidelines, and local regulatory standards.Manage and support the Scheduled Waste Management and Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) to ensure full compliance with local authority regulations.Support and manage Reverse Osmosis & De-Ionised (RODI) water treatment plant.Support any new expansion project and ensure on time delivery within budget.Enforce 6S work culture to internal stakeholders as well as contractors to prevent unforeseen safety, health and environmental accident or incident.Ensure resource availability and allocation.Report and escalate to management as and when needed.Manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders.Assume a leadership position to coordinate team activities, guiding the team to achieve organizational objectives while ensuring high team engagement.Maintain optimal communication and engagement with key stakeholders at all times.Proactively provide improvement ideas, tools, techniques and support in improvement activities.Minimum Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or in any field related to Facilities / Building Services System or Operations Minimum 5 years working experience in the related field.Preferred Qualification: Experience in operating and maintaining building services or facilities' mechanical system including Clean Room Operation and, or electrical system, or utilities such as CDA/OFA, RODI, IETS, PCW.Experience in a new factory start-up (Greenfield) or expansion project (Brownfield) will be an added advantage.Excellent verbal and written communication skills Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.Familiar with safety & health / JKKP / DOE / ST laws and regulations VAT is an equal opportunity employer.We see ourselves as a responsible and far-sighted employer that offers not only jobs, but also career and personal development opportunities through various training programs.We recognize the value of employee diversity and provide equal employment opportunity for all qualified application that contributes to innovation, improves customer orientation and employee satisfaction.One-step in this direction is to ensure that people are recognized and fairly compensated for their contributions to the company.In 2021, VAT received the Fair-ON-Pay+ certificate as an acknowledgement for our commitment in ensuring equal pay for equal work between men and women.
