Job Purpose:
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing and maintaining stock inventory, ensuring the proper handling, storing, and tracking of goods in the warehouse. This role requires someone with a valid forklift or reach truck license to safely operate equipment and assist with material handling. The Store Keeper will also be responsible for receiving raw materials, ensuring stock accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Raw Materials:Receive, inspect, and verify raw materials or goods upon arrival.
Ensure that all materials are checked for quality, quantity, and any damages during the receiving process.
Record received raw materials in the inventory system and ensure proper documentation is completed.
Notify relevant departments of any discrepancies or damaged goods.Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and monitor stock movements.
Assist in the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, ensuring safe handling of goods.
Operate forklift or reach truck to move heavy materials or stock.
Ensure proper labeling and organization of items in the warehouse or storage area.
Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Conduct daily checks of stock and update inventory management systems.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and storage areas.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, logistics) to ensure timely stock replenishment and correct distribution of goods.
Report any damaged goods or equipment issues to the Warehouse Manager.
Support loading and unloading activities as necessary.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
ValidForkliftorReach Trucklicense.
Proven experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, including stock control and storage practices.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks).
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic computer skills, particularly in inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy items as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a warehouse or storekeeping role.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for material handling.
