Job Summary:
The Storekeeper & Receiving staff is responsible for managing the storage, inventory, and receipt of goods and supplies for the resort. This role ensures that all materials are properly stored, recorded, and issued in a timely manner to support the resort's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Goods:
- Inspect and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
- Check the quality and quantity of items received.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant department.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all items.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when replenishment is needed.
Storage Operations:
- Organize and maintain the storeroom in a neat and orderly manner.
- Ensure that all items are stored in appropriate conditions to prevent spoilage or damage.
- Implement and follow proper storage procedures for different types of goods.
Issuing Supplies:
- Process requests for materials and supplies from various departments.
- Issue items according to established procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
- Track the movement of inventory and update records accordingly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all receipts, issues, and inventory levels.
- Generate and submit regular reports on inventory status and stock movements.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for management review.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines in the storeroom and receiving areas.
- Ensure that all goods are stored in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Assist in resolving any issues related to deliveries or inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
