Job Summary The candidate of Structured Product Business Support will be responsible for the transaction management of over-the-counter complex derivatives and ensuring proper trade booking of new and pre-existing trades.
The incumbent will liaise with Front Office, Market Risk, Valuations, P&L, IT, Operations, and other teams in the firm to resolve breaks and inform them about new/amended trades.
They will engage with stakeholders to develop booking templates that define all the key transaction attributes and recommend improved workflow between departments to increase efficiencies and controls.
The manager will also monitor the trends in volume, errors, and type of trade activity to ensure that risk systems and processes are fit for scale.
Job Description Daily Transaction Management/Control Function Ensure all transactions are booked properly in the trading systems Ensure trades are updated to properly reflect events (expiries, call dates, resets, barriers, etc); as well as properly reflect corporate actions (dividends, stock splits, mergers, etc) Ensure all amendments are properly reflected in the trading systems including reflect corporate actions (dividends, stock splits, mergers, etc) Ensure all controls reports are updated and enhance control criteria as needed Validate that confirmations and/or offering memorandums are defined consistent with the system booking Document multi-leg and/or multi-systems bookings and valuation environments for trade structures and ensure they are accurate and complete for P&L and risk purposes.
Document and/or update procedures for SPBS new processes and/or changes Document all 'non-traditional' and / or 'experimental' transactions Work with IT to automate transaction workflow and create robust trade booking and trade activity monitoring tools.
Transaction Management Oversight Recommend improved workflow and initiate reports or projects between departments and regions to increase efficiencies and controls Monitor the trends in volume and type of trade activity to ensure that risk systems and processes are fit for scale Work with IT Support and Development team to improve transaction workflow and post trade review Communication Provide clear and concise communication with all support stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient information dissemination on any inquiries, especially given the time-zone differences across regions (AMRS, APAC) Raise questions and/or gather information to provide guidelines to other regional support for similar issues What do you need to succeed?
Must have BA / BS or equivalent with emphasis in finance, economics or other quantitative discipline 3+ year experience working with over-the-counter structured products (eg.
Product Control, Risk Management, Middle Office, Front Office) Working knowledge of equity derivatives and structured equity products (eg.
Reverse convertibles, auto-callables, barrier options, etc) High attention to detail and control-focused Ability to work under pressure, accept responsibility and deliver What's in it for you?
