A great opportunity for a Treasury focused Investor Relations and Issuance to join a Financial Services Firm based in KL, Malaysia.
We are currently the largest issuer in the Global Sukuk short-term market with more than 255 Sukuk offered since 2013 for a total of USD 107 Billion.
The ideal candidate will join us to develop the distribution of our Sukuk products to investors globally and provide other technical contributions such as issuance strategy and execution, data collection, production of research, and statistical analysis. This opportunity will provide you with a breadth of experience in Islamic Finance and an in-depth insight into Sukuk Issuance, Liquidity Management, Securitization, and Asset Structuring. You will have the chance to experience a wide range of work, play a key role in our expanding innovative platform, and participate in our various business activities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist the Issuance team conducting Sukuk issuances and distributing the Sukuk internationally
Develop the Investor base and maintain strong relationships with Primary Dealers
Prepare marketing presentations for investors and materials for board committees
Monitor secondary market and liquidity conditions to identify and analyze client needs
Collect and organize auction data to provide charts and detailed reporting analysis
Undertake ad-hoc projects or initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the existing framework
Adhere to applicable codes of conduct, values, policies, procedures, and best practices
Be able to work independently and act responsibly, demonstrating a high standard of personal and professional ethics
This is a Front Office role in the Business Operations department responsible for originating and structuring Islamic Assets, conducting the Sukuk issuances, managing the distribution network of our securities internationally, and ensuring the smooth running of the USD 4 Billion short-term issuance programme.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor/Master degree. CFA would be an added advantage
Finance/Economy/Mathematics/Banking/Engineering or comparable
5 - 10 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Financial Markets, or Investment Banking, especially on the sell side, with exposure to GCC based investors
Good understanding of Financial Markets and Islamic structuring solutions
Strong motivation to contribute to the development of Islamic Finance
Ability to work in an international environment with strong team spirit
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluent in English and in another foreign language
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver accurate and high-quality work within established deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Sound judgment capable of developing independent opinions
Strong organizational skills, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Excel/Macro & PowerPoint)
