Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
Lead the development, implementation, and management of the Supplier Quality Assurance program, ensuring that suppliers consistently meet the company's quality standards and food safety requirements.
Establish and track supplier performance metrics, including product quality, compliance with specifications and food safety standards.
Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments (on-site and remote) to evaluate compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions for quality or compliance issues and monitor the effectiveness of those actions.
Build strong, proactive relationships with key suppliers to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to suppliers on quality assurance and food safety issues, ensuring that they understand and meet the company's specific requirements.
Lead quality improvement initiatives with suppliers, helping them to identify root causes of quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Quality Monitoring & Compliance:Monitor ingredients and finished goods from suppliers to ensure they meet product specifications, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA, and local health authority regulations).
Ensure that suppliers maintain all required certifications and documentation related to food safety and quality.
Conduct periodic risk assessments of the supplier base to identify potential quality hazards and proactively address any emerging issues.Issue Resolution & Corrective Actions:Lead the investigation and resolution of supplier quality issues, including non-conformances, deviations, and complaints, by using tools like root cause analysis, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and other problem-solving techniques.
Communicate and coordinate with internal teams (e.g., QA, R&D, operations) to resolve quality issues quickly and prevent recurrence.
Track the resolution of supplier quality issues and ensure timely and effective follow-up on corrective actions.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate records of all supplier quality audits, inspections, corrective actions, and performance evaluations.
Prepare and present regular reports to the QA Manager, highlighting supplier quality performance, trends, and potential risks.
Ensure that all documentation is compliant with food safety regulations and meets internal audit requirements.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the supplier quality program, including implementing more effective auditing processes, quality controls, and supplier engagement strategies.
Stay current with industry trends, new quality assurance practices, and emerging food safety regulations to ensure the supplier quality program remains robust and effective.
Work with internal teams to streamline quality control processes and improve overall product quality from supplier to finished goods.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as product development, operations, and logistics, to ensure that supplier quality is consistently maintained throughout the entire supply chain.
Partner with R&D and production teams to ensure new suppliers and products meet the necessary quality standards before being approved for production.
