ResponsibilitiesLead Supplier Quality engineering for critical direct materials like lead-frames, ceramic, substrate, tape and reel materials, mold compound, wire, solder paste, etc.
Drive supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement.
Oversee supplier quality team and establish quality control objectives.
Perform supplier quality audits and maintain supplier quality records.
Drive standardization of processes across multiple WW factories SQE/IQA (Material Verification, Supplier Assessments, Qualification, etc.).
Monitor existing suppliers to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
Lead supplier qualification audits and follow up with suppliers on corrective and preventive actions.
Partner with Global Commodity Managers to reduce the cost of materials and components while maintaining a high sensitivity to quality.
Develop processes to identify potential problems and improvements with design and new product specifications.
Drive and ensure Critical Direct Materials suppliers have built-in quality from product development to mass production phases.
Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D engineers to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process.
Track, manage, and report on assigned quality initiative programs.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
5-8 years of working experience in engineering, quality, supply chain, or equivalent.
Ability to travel independently in domestic and international markets.
Candidate with IATF16949/VDA 6.3 certification and Lead Auditor preferred but not required.
Experience with PPAP/APQP/DFMEA/PFMEA/Control Plan and DFM/DFQ.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
Strong time management and project management capabilities.
Mastery of Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of Process Certification and Process Robustness.
Solid analytical and articulation skills.
Semiconductor Process and Manufacturing experience.
