Supply Chain Director

Define and execute the strategic direction of the Supply Chain function in line with the Gloves Operations strategy to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
Ensure sustained deliveries to customers around the world on time and in full.
Develop agile planning strategies to ensure smooth and cost efficient production.
Optimize inventories for Raw Material, Packaging material, Work in Progress, and finished goods.
Coach, support and inspire a high performing team to contribute to the Gloves Business Area financial and strategic goals.
Identify and implement mitigation plan for risks in the area of responsibility.
Assume end to end responsibility for overall Supply Chain function and collaborate closely with other functions locally and globally to ensure synergies and optimum support.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for supply chain function including production and material planning, logistics, and warehousing.
Implement safety stock strategy to optimize inventory levels for Packing material, WIP, Finished goods.
Work closely with Supply and Demand planning team to ensure market demand is met timely and in full.
Develop mid and long term planning (RCCP) and assess capacity investment requirements.
Monitor planning and scheduling adherence in packing and dipping plants.
Manage inbound shipment, intra-site shipment and outbound preparation to ensure no demurrage and smooth custom clearance and documentation.
Ensure inventory accuracy in warehousing.
Support Gloves operations digital transition and be a leader for its area of responsibilities (Planning, warehousing).
Lead reduction of overall supply chain risk through team development of supply chain contingencies and proactive resolutions for demand/supply imbalances and disruption.
Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices within Supply Chain.
Implement new technologies and automation to improve efficiency in the supply chain process.
Develop annual budgets, including capital expenditures, controllables and resource requirements.
Hire, train and develop team, ensuring that each employee has a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities.

Ensure all staff are continuously trained and that all functions are in accordance to the Medical Devices - QMS (ISO 13485), FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820), MHLW Ministerial Ordinance No.
169, EMS (ISO 14001) and OH&S Management System (ISO 45001) and all documentations related to the same are maintained up to date.
Key Decisions
KEY DECISIONS INCLUDING RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITY
Performance management / appraisal of team under its responsibility.
Define budget and capex within authority level.
Set inventory levels in line with Gloves Operations financial target.
Full responsibility of customs clearance and all customs related documentation and permits.
Define production planning in collaboration with production planning team.
Define appropriate KPI for all functions under responsibility.
Define and maintain master data in appropriate system.
Capabilities; Qualifications and Experience
Capabilities:
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize, plan and execute.
Ability to establish goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to lead multi-functional teams on large-scale projects and to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with coworkers, vendors and/or customers.
Experience implementing major organizational change, including significant supply chain redesign and other operational efficiency improvements.
Leadership capabilities, management through motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job based on skills and potential.
Very good communication skills and ability to work in teams.
Qualifications And Experiences:
Require knowledge on the following subjects:
End to end Supply Chain Management.
Hands on experience in Planning management.
Warehouse and logistics management (inc. customs and LMW preferred).
IT Tools: ERP (SAP preferred), Supply Chain planning (Kinaxis), WMS.
Degree or Masters holder in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or equivalent.
APICS Certification an advantage.
Minimum 15 years experience in Supply Chain in a Manufacturing setup and minimum 10 years in a leadership position.
Any other information
Responsibility for 3 locations in Malaysia.
Lead a transformation of the Supply Chain department and prepare for SAP Hanna S4 and Kinaxis implementation in 2024.
Main KPIs: Inventory levels, planning Adherence, OTIF, Controllable costs, people engagement.
