UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
About the DepartmentTheTechnology and Operationsfunction is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job ResponsibilitiesYou will work with the Enterprise team and be responsible for understanding their business requirements and translating them to functional specifications and technical design specification. Key objective is to ensure good quality and smooth delivery of system enhancements that are fully in compliance with mandated framework and guidelines. You will be expected to partner closely with the Enterprise leads to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
Other responsibilities include:
Collaborate with enterprise and solution/application architects to deliver application solutions that comply with guiding principles and enterprise standards
Drive proof of concepts to progress technical ideas to working solutions
Plan project efforts to upgrade, enhance and maintain systems at supported release levels
Analyse and develop high quality functional specification from the business requirements. Understand the various dependencies on other projects and impact of related pieces
Work with different stakeholders from business, operations, development and testing team for timely delivery of deliverables
Be responsible for the overall system analysis activities; ensures high quality deliverables and meeting project schedules
Address and resolve functional issues
Ensure functional knowledge is propagated downward to the technical teams so that quality testing is conducted and followed through
Support during testing phase of delivery to ensure the functional requirement is delivered
Engage system vendors as needed to ensure business requirements/functionalities are clear for delivery throughout the end-to-end project implementation phases
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
At least 6 years of experience in business process and/or technology implementations
Proficient in OpenText Appworks development skill from present or past projects
Proficient in MS SQL Server database query skills, and Java
Proficient in OpenText Directory Service (OTDS) will be an added advantage
Familiarity with Banking processes, process modelling and UI design will be an added advantage
Familiarity with AML (Anti Money Laundering) processes will be an added advantage
Understanding of SDM (software development lifecycle process)
Experience of gathering functional and non-functional requirements and incorporating in design
Demonstrated experience of working from offshore, where the larger technical and business teams are located at onshore
