Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full timeThe Tactical Buyer is responsible for all purchases of an assigned material (sub)group product and will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager. The lowest possible purchase prices are ensured by the Tactical Buyer through monitoring of market circumstances and price developments while strengthening quality service and our supply via vendor risk management. The Tactical Buyer plans and executes sourcing strategies in accordance with the predefined targets from the management e.g.: Group purchasing policy, targets on sustainability.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Performs efficient strategic sourcing via implementing sourcing procedures and partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs in order to manage the risk and optimize the value and resilience of materials as well as services sourcing.Suggests methods and risk minimizing techniques to decrease expenditure through cost analysis and calculation of the procurement costs.Establishes supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement projects.Negotiates contracts and coordinates supplier integration plans with internal customers.Conducts research and anticipates potential shifts of negotiation power from the suppliers.Monitors market dynamics and identifies marketplace trends with a possible impact on the availability of materials or services and/or pricing.Acts as a buddy for the purchasing assistant e.g.: problem-solving, understanding and application of procedures.Provides support for vendor complaints and negotiates financial compensations to improve quality performance.Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders on matters related to materials, services and other improvement projects.Job Requirements:Education & ExperienceBachelor degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or any related field.Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience with 10 years working experience in a manufacturing environment.Behavioral SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in both Malaysian and English language.Good interpersonal skill and relationship-building with internal stakeholders.Positive attitude with an ability to cooperate as a real team player to work efficiently together in order to achieve common goals.Able to work independently with limited guidance.Vast project management and leadership skills.Able to form sound judgments.Good negotiation skills.Building ethical supplier network relationships.Technical SkillsStrong in Microsoft Office applications, especially in MS Excel.Good negotiation skills.SAP knowledge is an added advantage.Costing knowledge (TCO, contract & volume basis).Understanding of market dynamics.Your application will include the following questions:What's your expected monthly basic salary?How many years' experience do you have as a Buyer?How would you rate your English language skills?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics - 101-1,000 employeesUnilin Group is a global reference for interior design and building.
