We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to lead our Tax Compliance Team based in Kuala Lumpur. This pivotal role will oversee the preparation and review of tax compliance services for local SMEs and multinational corporations (MNCs). The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate filings while maintaining exceptional service standards. In addition, the Tax Manager will manage the team's daily operations, provide strategic guidance during tax audits, and enhance internal controls to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Tax Compliance and Reporting
-Oversee and review the preparation of tax computations and filings, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
-Manage the preparation and timely submission of direct tax returns, adhering to all statutory deadlines.
-Provide expert advice and support to clients during tax audits, mitigating risks and resolving issues efficiently.
-Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance.
-Team Management and Operations
-Lead, mentor, and manage the Tax Compliance Team, fostering a culture of high performance.
-Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal resource allocation.
-Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
-Internal Control and Continuous Improvement
-Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax-related processes.
-Regularly review and update internal control measures to align with regulatory changes and boost operational efficiency.

-Client Relationship Management

; Requirements:-
-Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is mandatory.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in income tax compliance, with a proven track record of managing a tax team.
-Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, compliance procedures, and reporting requirements.
-Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-Proficient in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
