Lead a team of 4 in the monthly closing process (i.e.
for group reporting) and the yearly statutory financial statements for all Malaysian entities.
This includes managing the timeline and process for the monthly closing, yearly statutory audits, and being the key person in charge of unusual accounting matters (if any).
Ability to review monthly financial numbers (i.e.
including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and relevant notes) and the monthly forecasts to ensure accurate reporting of the financial numbers.
Lead the completion of monthly reporting for all Malaysian companies for group reporting and the yearly statutory financial reporting.
Lead various audits such as group and statutory audits, internal audits, PETRONAS and any other audits.
Lead, prepare, and analyze financial statements, with knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
Perform financial evaluation for tender exercises.
Review quarterly or yearly statistical surveys as and when required.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, and completed professional examination in Accounting (member of a professional accountancy body).
At least 10-12 years of working experience, preferably with a minimum of 5 years of working experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
Well versed in MFRS, IFRS; added advantage with knowledge in PSC and oil and gas accounting.
Attention to detail, strong analytical, and good problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Able to work under pressure (i.e.
CAN-DO attitude), and hands-on.
Strong skill in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Knowledge in SUN and COGNOS accounting systems is an added advantage.
