In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the output of complex high-quality projects, delivered on time to our customers by defining, leading, planning, executing and reporting System V&V testing as needed within the R&D product portfolio. The role has an eye for exceptional user-facing product quality, reliability, and user-centric design principles.The role contributes to the continuous improvement of V&V capabilities by developing, improving and deploying excellent system V&V skills, processes, tools, and equipment. The role also leads the team to deliver to the above responsibilities while testing to challenge the design and is a gatekeeper upholding quality.Key Responsibilities:Performing and leading the team to perform design Verification & Validation (V&V) of Cochlear's products. This will include updating tests; supporting the development of test cases; performing V&V dry runs; generating and maintaining V&V inputs and outputs (including documents and results); and debugging test failures across large arrays of hardware and software combinations to ensure safe, functional and compliant products.Delivering and leading the team to deliver assigned V&V components of releases by managing medium to large projects, features or subtasks from start to finish.Establishing, managing and maintaining inventory used by the V&V Services Team for formal V&V.Contributing and leading the team to contribute to procedure and process improvements within the Verification & Validation team to ensure efficient, clear and consistent procedures and processes.Key Requirements:University degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with Software elements.Minimum 8 years of experience in system, electrical or electronics design, development or testing in R&D/D&D domains. Some automation experience is preferred.Minimum two years of experience with people management directly or indirectly through matrix structure.Knowledge and understanding of electronics, electronic test equipment and electrical device testing.Understanding of verification and validation principles, methods and tools.Experienced in cross-functional thinking, problem solving and continuous improvement activities.Experience in managing and delivering work packages directly and/or through team leadership roles.Good oral and written English communication skills.If you feel that you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role and take on new challenges to build your career with Cochlear, please start your application by clicking the apply button below.#J-18808-Ljbffr
