As a Technical Lead within the Bradken, Merlimau facility, you'll lead our technical team to deliver high-quality products for wear solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive technical excellence within the organization.

As a Technical Lead, your primary focus will involve enhancing production efficiency and minimizing waste through the development of effective production methods. Employing advanced simulation tools, you will devise innovative strategies to meet customer requirements.
Your duties encompass fostering seamless collaboration and communication across various departments to ensure the successful implementation of devised production methods. Additionally, drawing upon your leadership qualities, you will spearhead the performance data collection, ensuring its accuracy and timely availability.
In addition to ensuring the full implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) systems within the team and work area, your proactive nature requires promptly addressing safety communications and alerts, taking immediate action, and implementing appropriate controls. Consistently monitoring the area is essential to ensure incidents are reported, investigated, and resolved effectively.
In this role, as you foster the development of a Quality culture within the technical team, your collaborative spirit will shine through as you work alongside manufacturing and engineering to develop new technologies and enhance manufacturing processes. Additionally, your proactive approach to change management and continuous improvement will drive progress and innovation within the team.
Key Technical Criteria:Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Science, or Engineering, providing a solid foundation for technical understanding and problem-solving.
Extensive experience in the foundry or manufacturing industry, with a proven track record in managing technical and quality systems, conducting audits, and holding supervisory/management positions.
Proficiency in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.
Demonstrated expertise in interpreting engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and CAD/CAM models, facilitating effective communication and project execution.
Proven experience in implementing Six Sigma or similar quality management programs, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
Preferred 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or a similar heavy engineering industry equips you with the necessary skills to lead teams and drive organizational objectives.
