As a Technician supporting Finishing Engineering, you will be trusted to execute planned preventive maintenance in timely manner and respond to any unplanned equipment downtime to ensure overall operations safety, product quality and machine performance are kept at highest standards at Johor. In this role, a typical day will include:
Operation: Execute an efficient and effective PM activities to keep the instruments/equipment in a good condition and ensure no overdue PM.All instruments/equipment related Finishing Engineering, Production, Lab and QC to maintain at minimum downtime and minimum number of NCR. Provide engineering support to other functions as well and when is required.Ensure correct SOPs and forms are used to perform planned activities. Need to have good GDP of documentation. Ensure updated release documents are used for PM activities and in validated state.Ensure all PM records are properly recorded and kept. Ensure 24/7 round the clock support is pro-vided to production.Actively participate in cost reduction, cost saving, machine set-up and improve efficiency of PM and machines repairs time.Promote effective communication with peers across all shifts and ensure efficient shift hand-over and effective start-up meeting.To support the investigation of the process and quality failure resulted from equipment/process related problem and provide permanent solution to fix them.To observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts, Alcon Values & Behaviors and Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.To ensure maintain all equipment in Finishing Engineering at minimum downtime.To perform and complete the tasks assigned by superiors or manager on time or earlier than given timeline.Participate extensively in the business development such as new project initiative by actively participating as project lead, project support or project executors.General: Establish and ensure SOPs and documentation are compliance with OSHA, ISO 13485, GxP and US regulations. Ensure updated release documents are changed, reviewed and approved before implementation of validation and its must remain and operate in validated state.Promote effective communication with associates across all shifts and ensure efficient shift hand-over and effective startup meeting. Motivate and cultivate positive mind-set and ethical among department associates and optimize individual performance to the company.To observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts, Alcon Values & Behaviors and Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: Education: Diploma in Engineering or Certificate in Engineering 5 years of experience in Manufacturing.Experience in medical devices environment is preferred.Must be good in trouble shooting in pneumatic, electrical & mechanical.
