Are you an experienced Toolroom Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Schmaco Auto Parts Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Toolroom Manager to join our team in Rawang, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our toolroom, ensuring the availability of high-quality tools and equipment to support our manufacturing processes.
What you'll be doing To manage and plan activities of the tool room, ensuring departmental objectives are metTo manage and guarantee on time availability of toolsTo maximise productivity and maintain the highest levels of workmanship for all tooling activitiesTo oversee all work through the tool room efficiently and cost effectively and ensure that all target dates for tooling are metTo manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the teamTo implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processesTo support production and engineering with tooling/technical problems To ensure all stock items, tool inserts and spares are organised To prepare technical drawings and design for metal stamping parts To develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility What we're looking for Minimum 5 years of experience as a Toolroom Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the manufacturing industryStrong technical knowledge of tool design, fabrication, and maintenance processesProficient in the use of tool management software and data analysis toolsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressureDemonstrated experience in leading and developing a team of toolroom techniciansStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with relevant safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance within the toolroom5.5 day (Monday 9am to 6pm to Saturday 9am to 2pm) working basisAble to communicate in Mandarin and English with client What we offer Competitive salary Yearly incrementMedical BenefitsDental BenefitsPerformance BonusCompany TripsAwards and RecognitionOpportunities for career development and skill-building through training and mentorship programsA dynamic and collaborative work environment with a focus on continuous improvement About us
