Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting relevant due diligence process which includes reviewing, analyzing, and screening customer transactions to detect and prevent AML/CFT and fraudulent transactions prior to releasing the remittance orders.
Ensuring transaction orders are reviewed and processed within the turnaround time and adhere to Ria Compliance SOP, rules, and regulations.
Reviewing customer transactions to assess suspicious activities and ensuring that suspicious activities/transactions are escalated for further investigation within the stipulated turnaround time.
Reviewing customer information to assess potential matches to name screening hits flagged by the screening systems and recommending appropriate treatment of the hits.
Assisting the Line Manager in conducting gap analysis to identify potential process deficiencies to improve business operations, service quality, and unit costs through effective capacity planning, process re-engineering, and automation.
This includes regular engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Reviewing and analyzing transactions blocked by the system.
Referring unusual fraud activity to the Internal FIU Analyst.
Processing transactions that meet Ria policies, state laws, and regulations.
Maintaining records in our databases for review by auditors and regulators.
Serving as a proactive team member in interfacing with our Operations Department.
Keeping up-to-date with regulatory requirements, internal record-keeping, identification, and source of funds requirements.
Providing assistance with inbound and outbound calls.
Performing other duties as assigned or requested.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Reviewing customer activity and ensuring that system-generated "smart alerts" comply with internal AML/ATF policies.
Reviewing agent activity and ensuring that transactions carried out at our agent locations comply with internal AML/ATF policies.
Reviewing internal communications made by our agent/store employees or back-office colleagues to ensure compliance with internal AML/ATF policies.
Keeping our customers up to date on all RIA compliance rules and regulations.
Keeping our agents up to date on all RIA compliance rules and regulations.
Collaborating in the preparation and filing of STRs for detected suspicious activities and contributing to preparing responses to inquiries from local authorities.
Contributing to the creation of new policies, collaborating with senior analysts and supervisors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/College Graduate of any course.
Proficient with MS Office.
Fluent in local language and English.
Experience/knowledge of compliance issues in a financial institution is an advantage.
Transaction monitoring and AML/CFT/CPF experience is an advantage.
