ABOUT THE ROLE: You will join a dynamic team focused on profit-oriented underwriting for Property and Miscellaneous Underwriter propositions. Our Underwriter analyses claims experience, loss ratios, and other group-specific data to creatively evaluate standard and non-standard risks and develop optimal coverage solutions for our broker partners, cedents and clients all over South East Asia and Australia. We also collaborate with internal stakeholders and market owners to generate proposals, resolve account management issues, and service customers. 
You will be working with a great bunch of energetic people in building and offering InsurTech solutions across Southeast Asia and Australia. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Understand and apply insurance principles to standard and non-standard risk situations. Understand and apply data analytics to assure the Company is adequately pricing for the risk under consideration. Able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of both standard and non-standard policy wordings, extensions, and limitations. Able to identify when to alter policy terms and the resulting impact. Manage the definition, development and delivery of all insurance products to ensure alignment with customer needs. Accurately spot trends in early stages and collaborate to improve product offerings and financial results. Review and challenge market/customer strategies, applying in-depth market understanding and innovative views. Support the business in developing appropriate underwriting and analytical processes and outputs. Tactfully navigate key regulatory and risk management obligations of the Company. WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU: Minimum 4 to 6 years of underwriting experience In depth knowledge of insurance, with a focus on Personal Accident, Travel and All Risks/Miscellaneous underwriting experience. Property underwriting will be advantageous Experience in producing a profitable portfolio of business within underwriting authority Strong analytical skills to assess exposures, coverages, terms and conditions to appropriately assign underwriting decision on risks  Knowledge and proficiency in the use of underwriting tools, applications,  guidelines, and data analytics Encourage collaboration in support of the end-to-end journey Strong negotiation, analytical skills, ability to multi-task with attention to detail Considers the various forms of impact in an end-to-end process and learns eagerly from past projects  Highly motivated to apply new skills to novel situations Constantly looking for the best option, identifying positives and negatives, to make effective decisions PERKS YOU'LL GET TO ENJOY WHILE WORKING HERE!
