Volunteer Coordination & Support (Community Services & Development)
Casual/Vacation
Assist with the registration of participants.
Distribute materials and information.
Checkpoint Assistance:Set up and manage checkpoints along the race route.
Provide clues, challenges, and assistance to participants.
Ensure the safety and fairness of the challenges.Crowd Control and Direction:Guide participants and spectators to appropriate areas.
Manage crowd control at busy points along the route.First Aid and Safety:Be prepared to assist with basic first aid needs (training provided).
Report any safety concerns or incidents to event coordinators.Logistics and Setup:Help with the setup and teardown of event equipment and signage.
Assist with the distribution of water and refreshments.Communication:Relay important information between participants and event coordinators.
Use walkie-talkies or other communication devices as needed.General Assistance:Provide general support and assistance to event staff and participants as needed.Availability:Must be available for the full duration of the event and any required training session.
Training:
Volunteers will be required to attend a training session prior to the event.
Training will cover roles, responsibilities, event logistics, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
