About the Role: Brooks is a prominent leader in the Semiconductor industry, known for our innovative technology and sustainable solutions. As part of our strategic expansion in Malaysia, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to enable best in class m aterials m anagement and material flow in and out of the manufacturing area s at our brand-new Greenfield facility in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all planning activities related to material control, inventory control, kitting and cycle count programs . The ideal candidate will have a robust background in materials management within the semiconductor equipment industry, demonstrating strong lea dership and s trategic planning capabilities. You will develop and implement stockroom proce dures, kit ting str ategies that align with the overall business objectives , including safety , efficie ncy improvement s, and meeting customer demands.
Key Responsibilities: Safety and Compliance: Implement and oversee safety protocols to ensure the well-being of staff and compliance with local regulations.
Monitor the safe use of warehouse equipment by associates.
Stay up to date on safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Inventory Control and Material Management: Audit and report inventory levels , making recommendations for restocking as needed.
Implement efficient warehouse practices and protocols to optimize storage and shipment processes.
Coordinate order fulfilment , ensuring accurate inventory counts.
KPI Management – being able to implement improvements based on a metric set .
Implementation of visual controls and kanban systems from warehouse to production.
Leadership and Experience: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, managing a team of up to 40 personnel.
Previous experience in warehouse management , especially dealing with semiconductor capital equipment, is preferred.
Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
Qualifications & Competencies : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management , Business Administration, or other related field with 10+ years of experience in warehouse management, ideally within the semiconductor or related high-tech, manufacturing industry.
Proven track record of successful logistics strategy and execution
Strong understanding of Malaysian and international shipping regulations and compliance standards which involves customs regulations and import/export laws.
Proficiency in analyzing data to monitor performance, forecast needs, and make informed decisions using advanced logistics software/ERP to manage inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize routes.
Understanding budgeting, cost management, and financial factors is essential for making decisions balancing cost with service quality.
Fluent in English ( mandatory ) and Bahasa Malaysia (preferred)
