Accountant (Based In Miri, Sarawak)

Requirements: Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance and a Professional Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MIA) or equivalent.Preferably with 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in Audit Firm, Commercial industry, or a similar capacity in a related field.Membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is an advantage.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.Knowledge of costing and budgetary control monitoring.Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Job Responsibilities:  Prepare financial statements in compliance with MFRS, IFRS, and the Companies Act of Malaysia, ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards and policiesPrepare tax computations in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Income Tax Act.Maintain a strong understanding of both direct and indirect tax regulations within the Malaysian frameworkManage the accounts department, ensuring timely monthly closing of management accounts and overseeing reporting processesDevelop budgets and financial forecasts for management reviewMonitor operational costs closely and provide insight to support effective decision-makingEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and internal controlsPerform any additional tasks or special projects as assigned from time to time
