Primary responsibility to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close account. To reconcile accounts, noticing any discrepancies and miscalculations. Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail.Analyze revenues, expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basisAssist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances and complete monthly close account reconciliationsAssist with financial and tax audits & monitoring of internal controlAssist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirementsMaintaining general accounts, accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentationMaintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures.Updating financial records via accounting softwareProblem-solving skills: work closely with the accounting team and upper management. Identify a problem and resolve it. Reconciling accounts requires a comparison between reports, accounts and line items. Communication: Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and resultsRequired skills and qualifications Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, finance or relevant field, Qualifications (CPA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not requiredMembers of MIAMinimum 5 years in relevant working experienceadept with technology; Accounting software, spreadsheet programs and standard email are all key elements in this type of workGood with numbers and figures and an analytical acumenGood understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practicesExcellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
