Position Overview
The Assistant Director, Employer Relations role in the Asia School of Business' Career Development Office focuses on enhancing student engagement and employer relationships for candidates in our MBA program.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and delivering career education programs, fostering strong employer partnerships, and maintaining operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have six to eight years of experience in career services or a related field, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in strategic planning and execution.
This position requires close collaboration with students, relevant functional colleagues, and external partners to ultimately drive career success for ASB graduates.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver career education programs, workshops, and resources tailored to student needs.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry partners across key markets in Asia to enhance employment opportunities for students.
Coordinate relevant career coaching and advisory needs through leveraging the panel of external career advisors.
Engage in coaching & advisory sessions with students for relevant career topics or needs.
Organize curated employer engagement activities to connect students with potential employer relationships.
Analyze employment trends and student outcomes to inform strategic planning and improve career services.
Coordinate the preparation and distribution of recruitment materials such as resume books, biotables, and other related collaterals to showcase student talent to potential employers.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to meet student and employer needs.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Career Development Office by implementing feedback mechanisms from students and employers.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in employer relations, career services or a similar role.
Proven track record of developing and maintaining employer partnerships.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain employer partnerships.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, employers, and faculty.
