As an Assistant Manager - Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organization. You will be supporting the director in overseeing finance and accounting operations, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with statutory and financial regulations.
What will you do?
Work closely with management to ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts and year-end statutory reports.
Review and analyze accounts, cash flow, and profit projections to generate management reports that reflect the financial performance of the business against plan.
Assist management in setting the annual budget and tracking sales revenue and expenditure budgets.
Support and assist in overseeing the tracking of development and refurbishment project costs and cash flow, including project feasibility studies and cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making.
Manage and supervise the accurate and timely maintenance of accounts receivables, accounts payables, and the overall accounting and financial reporting process.
Supervise the preparation of audit and tax schedules, and assist in corporate tax computations and submissions.
Assist the implementation and improvement of SOPs and internal controls process to support the smooth running of business and finance operations.
Assist in developing and administering financial and operational policies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, financial regulations (local Accounting Standard, Income Tax Act, and Services Tax Act), and Group policies.
Liaise with external stakeholders and assist in the preparation and review of legal, commercial, and compliance documents.
Assist and support any ad-hoc projects assigned by the director including refinancing and assets acquisition exercise.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) are preferred.
Minimum Five (5) years of relevant work experience with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software and POS systems.
Good understanding of MFRS, IFRS and tax rules in Malaysia.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Enthusiastic about learning and working in a team, and able to work independently.
