Position Summary
This role will support in the management of all aspects of purchasing and supply chain for the Resort. The role will be required to work very closely with the purchasing manager to put into action the Resort procurement initiatives and provide positive influence and guidance to the rest of the team. A high degree of self-sufficiency and initiative to get things done is required, as well as the ability to manage many on-going tasks & projects to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities Advises staff and/or requestors as to appropriate choices of standard items to be purchased. Selects vendors, places orders, and may arrange for service contract.Double-checks the work of purchasing agents.Communicates with executives and gains approval for purchasing contracts with new vendors or on new supplies.Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.Maintains records and follow up files of purchases, shipments, and related matters.Maintains files of descriptions of available supplies.May inspect products received for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies.Performs related job duties as required. Keep up to date with the latest product developments & technologies relating to the industry.Ensure the procurement system is maintained and updated accordingly and to the necessary company standards.Constantly stay abreast with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the company.Oversees supply chain management.Qualifications Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or equivalent.3-5 years of experience in Purchasing & Warehousing environment. This role requires someone with ability to learn quickly and acquire strong knowledge of products, sources, and network.Someone had experienced working in an environment strong on compliance. Strong planning and organizational skills, problem solving and attention to detail.     About The Benefits In return you will find a competitive salary and benefits package (including a medical, dental and insurance), and benefit from free annual pass, staff discounts, and free entry to all our Merlin attractions which also extend to family and friends.
