Chugoku Paints (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing Assistant Manager to join our team in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This full-time position plays a crucial role in supporting our procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our manufacturing business.
What you'll be doing Manage the day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and placing orders for raw materials, office supplies, and other necessary goodsMaintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, monitor stock levels, and identify opportunities for optimisationCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of materialsConduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favourable terms and conditionsDevelop and implement purchasing strategies to support the company's overall business objectivesPrepare and analyse procurement reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve process efficiencyEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirementsWhat we're looking for Relevant qualifications: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related fieldExperience: Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industrySkills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficient in data analysis and reporting; strong attention to detailKnowledge: Familiarity with procurement best practices, inventory management, and supplier relationship managementPersonal attributes: Proactive, adaptable, and able to work well in a team environmentWhat we offer
