This role forms part of our second line of defence. It identifies, evaluates, mitigates, and recommends or approves non-retail credit risk credit proposals within the Board-approved Risk Postures and Risk Appetite.
The position oversees monitoring the non-retail credit risk of assigned portfolios through various policies, procedures, frameworks, methodologies, governance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:Utilise non-retail credit risk management tools, including Rating Methodology, Early Warning Indicators, Risk Acceptance Criteria, Country Sector Limit, Stress Testing, JDA Framework, and Non-Retail Credit Risk Portfolio Reporting, to ensure a robust and independent underwriting, approval, and portfolio review process aligned with Board-approved Risk Posture and Risk Appetite.
Stay up-to-date with market and regulatory developments that impact underwriting standards and asset quality. Recommend changes to tools as needed.
Initiate timely client and/or portfolio reviews using the EWI framework and classify Watchlist names with corrective actions steps by SBUs.
Apply the Joint Delegation Approval Framework appropriately.
Manage underwriting and portfolio quality by working with Business Units to ensure tools are understood and implemented.
Back test program lending programs as necessary.
Work with key stakeholders to build strong relationships and contribute to the Bank's success from a non-retail credit scope.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by HOD/Deputy HOD.
Take charge of personal development and training through KPI, performance management processes, and learning and development opportunities.
Ensure credit approvals comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Identify and encourage self-identification of operational risk issues.
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with Economics from a reputable University.
Completed AICB's Executive Banker programme.
10 years of experience as a Relationship Manager (Corporate Banking).
Knowledge of non-retail credit risk.
Understanding of loan structuring and legal matters.
Knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
Good interpersonal, oral, written, and communication skills in English.#J-18808-Ljbffr
