Job Overview:
The Associate Expeditor utilizes existing Expediting procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, leveraging their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Expediting and Supply Chain.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management (or a relevant discipline) or HSD/GED/IGCSE with 2 years of relevant experience
0-3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of Materials Management systems for procurement and logistics
Solid understanding of Expediting systems used to support the process of project execution
Understanding of the expediting process as outlined in the Unifi system
Able to apply knowledge in expediting work activities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Understanding of the overall material management lifecycle
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Perform RFQ process
Review requisitions to verify accuracy
Issue RFQ to vendors and secure compliant offers
Liaise with Engineering or Requisitioner, if required, to ensure that TBE's are completed on schedule.
Coordinate the vendor clarification process.
Participate in commercial negotiations with vendor and perform CBE
Place PO with selected vendor, providing ongoing purchase order administration including PO revisions and resolution of discrepancies as required during the lifetime of the order
Assist the expediting process; resolve technical and commercial clarifications with vendors
Prepare CBEs during BID & BUY stages.
Price MTO's for bid pricing process, liaising with Purchasing Supervisor/Manager and Bids and Proposals Manager in purchasing to ensure that the input to the proposals group is accurate and timely.#J-18808-Ljbffr
