BARTENDERBartender is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Bartender assures each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. The Bartender provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service. The Bartender has a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and ensures that all the details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong beverage knowledge regarding beer, wine and liquor is required. The Bartender is also required to perform additional side duties and assist in the absence of a bar porter or bar server if necessary. Working knowledge of the Micros system is essential. The ideal candidate will have a confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. The Bartender position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.The ability to handle all monies and keep a bank float from the hotel.The ability to requisition, pick up, verify, and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.The ability to offer guests of the lounge an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness.The ability to stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.The ability to develop a complete working knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients and preparation.The ability to develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar, i.e. liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, specialty drinks, etc.The ability to understand the menu and the daily specials as well as what is not available.The ability to check and recheck the bar during service.The ability to ensure that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.The ability to utilize the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.The ability to ensure proper pouring, mixing, blending, etc. of drinks.The ability to service all drinks for service bar area, guests and the bar area.The ability to ensure proper service of all food items to bar guests.The ability to keep the bar area neat and tidy at all times clearing dishes and glassware whenever possible.The ability to ensure that the bar is stocked and all side opening and closing duties are completed.The ability to greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture.The ability to change ashtrays, serve cigarettes and wipe down bar area.The ability to answer telephones according to Four Seasons' standards and take reservations or provide information regarding the lounge or any other hotel service.The ability to recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests.The ability to report any accident immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.The ability to handle a guest walk out.The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.Candidates must speak read and write Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English.
